Sony has introduced a few weeks ago two new types of cameras EVIL (electronic viewfinder cameras and interchangeable lens) and also Reflex (mirror), I particularly have attracted attention and are the new Sony A33 and the new Sony A55.

The odd thing about this new type of SLR cameras and Evil, is that they have a fixed mirror and also translucent, which only lets through 70% of light to the sensor , while the other 30% are diverted to the auto focus module the camera unlike the conventional SLR cameras whose mirror is completely opaque and prevents light reaching the sensor except when it arises.

What you get in this way is that the camera is focusing at all times, getting gusts up to 10 frames per second for the Sony A55 with a focus on the success of most images perfect or at least this is what Sony sold us on the advertising of such cameras. Particularly I could not field test these cameras although I could tinker with them in their hands for a while …

Also in the camera’s video mode (high definition in this case), the autofocus works much better than other model s precisely because of this new technology and translucent mirror allows the camera to be focusing at all times …
Can we say it is an SLR camera for the wearing of a mirror?. Because in principle yes, but I think it is right because the camera has no optical viewfinder (is electronic in this case), the mirror is not mobile and of course the pentaprism disappears. Therefore I prefer to call this type of model as simple EVIL cameras but this is only a particular appreciation.
On the other hand, losing 30% of light that reaches the sensor not being diverted to the module approach, I think it we gain in quality and speed of approach we lose in brightness and hence increased noise levels go up minimally in the ISO …

What advantages does this camera over other models such as Sony SONY EVIL NEX NEX 3 and 5?. The only thing I can think of are the ability to mount any optics and flash Sony SLR without any adapter, for example, know that Carl Zeiss lenses are superb quality ….
